Confidentiality
All work is carried out in complete confidence. All materials (audio cassettes, minidiscs, manuscripts, etc) received by KPS are stored securely and covered by insurance. KPS is happy to sign confidentiality statements as required. References are available upon request.

Turnaround
Deadlines for return of assignments are discussed and agreed to customer specifications. As a guide, industry standard turnaround for transcription of clear audible recordings is 4 hours of continuous typing for every 60 recorded minutes of dialogue and turnaround for legible copy typing is 1 hour of continuous typing for every 3,000 words as typed.

General Information
A sheet of A4 paper with typed text in Times New Roman, font size 12, at single line spacing will contain approximately 800 words. If spaced at 1½ lines there will be approximately 530 words per A4 sheet.

Rates

Transcription rates are based on clear, audible recordings. Copy typing rates are based on legible typed or handwritten text as typed continuously at a consistent speed of 50 wpm. Rates for specialist and/or technical assignments, poor quality recordings and/or difficult to decipher text are discussed and agreed individually with each customer. All rates are based on £0.25 per minute as worked (£15.00 per hour). KPS is not liable for VAT.
